Ballet

Exam Class

Ballet dates back to the 17th century and the conventional steps, grace and fluidity of movement are still found in Ballet today. As well as the specific techniques within Ballet, this style offers dancers much more, Dancers learn poise, technique and discipline which are skills that will not just carry through their dance but for the rest of their life.

Tap

Exam Class

Tap is rhythm – rhythm is tap. Its origins are many and varied. Americans claim its origin dates from the African Jazz age. The Irish stake their claim to the Jigs and Step Dancing. The English relate back to northern Clog Dancers but whichever one chooses to believe; Tap is as popular today as it was in the heyday of the great Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly musicals.

Jazz is fun. Classes are structured to begin to prepare the physical strength and flexibility required to demonstrate emotion through interpretation of any musical genre.

Acro AcroBatic Arts

Acrobatic Arts allows us to teach with the confidence, safety and sufficiency to enable the best learning environment for your dancer. The programme is based on safe and effective progressions with proven results in five divisions of AcroDance: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering, and Tumbling.

AcroDance is fused with styles such as Ballet, jazz and contemporary combined with the strength and flexibly of acrobatics. Acro is not the same as gymnastics, it is taught with a different approach and technique with the most noticeable one being that it we do not train on a sprung gym floor. We use matts to prepare and practice tricks to begin then as we progress mats are no longer required, and we then transfer onto a hard floor where dancers are able to execute movement and skills as they are required.

Performances Classes

Our performance classes are designed for dancers who wish to learn choreography to perform to an audience. These classes consist of learning basic dance techniques and disciplines whilst being in a fun environment exploring various dance styles.

Within this class we offer Awards and Rosettes which are taken up to twice a year. Awards are offered in most of our classes and are a smaller assessment where dancers can achieve acknowledgment for their learning.

Private Tuition

Private lessons are available upon request. Dancers are able to use these lessons for technique, rehearsals, solo work, exam preparation or to work towards Duets and trios etc.

Dance in Education

Offering a wide range of engaging and inclusive sessions across schools, nurseries, and community settings. Services include Zumba, Zumbini, Pilates, Dance, PE, PPA cover, after-school clubs, show choreography, and themed workshops. Cross-curricular activities are also available, tailored to topics such as VE Day, World Book Day, Horrible Histories, Dance from Around the World, along with main calendar events including Diwali, Ramadan, Easter, Christmas, and more.
